This Privacy Policy explains how Another Planet (the “Game”) handles information. The Game is developed and operated by Cheng Li under the Chili Pepper brand (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Scope and summary
No account is required to play. We do not ask you to provide your name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or precise location through the Game. The Game stores progress and preferences primarily on your device. Certain technical, gameplay, purchase-flow, and advertising information may be processed by the service providers described below.
2. Information stored locally
The Game may store the following information on your device:
- game progress, score, level, generation, ball positions, and current run state;
- language, sound, haptics, and gameplay preferences;
- booster balances, revive credits, completed-game count, and ad-removal entitlement;
- purchase fulfillment markers used to reduce duplicate delivery of virtual items.
This local information is not uploaded as a cloud save. It normally remains until the Game is uninstalled or its local data is cleared. Starting a new game deletes the active-run save but may not delete settings, balances, or purchase entitlements.
3. Firebase services
We use Google Firebase services to operate and improve the Game:
- Firebase Analytics: may process app launches, gameplay milestones, scores, levels, ad interactions, revive methods, purchase product identifiers, quantities, and purchase-flow results. We do not send payment card details. User-level Analytics data retention is configured to two months.
- Firebase Crashlytics: processes crash stack traces, device and operating-system information, app version, diagnostic logs, and developer-defined game-state values such as score, generation, and highest level. Google states that Crashlytics crash data and associated identifiers are generally retained for 90 days before deletion from live and backup systems begins.
- Firebase Remote Config: supplies operational settings, such as availability of advertising, offers, and balancing values. Firebase may process installation, request, configuration-template, and diagnostic metadata needed to provide this service.
Analytics is enabled only when the Game’s consent flow allows it. Crashlytics is used separately from advertising consent to diagnose failures and maintain app stability.
4. Advertising and consent
The Game integrates Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Depending on availability and remotely controlled settings, the Game may show rewarded, banner, or interstitial advertisements.
Google Mobile Ads may process IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device or app identifiers, ad and product interactions, diagnostics, performance information, and information used for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
The current iOS release is configured for non-personalized advertising, does not request App Tracking Transparency authorization, does not intentionally access the IDFA, disables publisher first-party identifiers, and requests ads with a maximum content rating of G. Non-personalized ads may still require local storage, identifiers, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and consent where required by law.
For users in regions where Google requires a consent message, UMP presents available choices before ads are requested. When required, you can revisit those choices inside the Game from Pause → Credits & Licenses → Privacy Choices.
5. In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple handles payment credentials. We do not receive your full payment-card or bank-account information. The Game receives product, transaction, and receipt information needed to complete purchases, deliver virtual items, restore eligible non-consumable entitlements, prevent duplicate fulfillment, and record purchase-flow analytics.
6. Purposes and legal bases
We process information to provide game functionality, preserve local progress, complete purchases, deliver and measure ads, understand feature usage, balance the Game, diagnose crashes, prevent fraud, secure the service, and comply with law. Where applicable, processing is based on your consent, performance of a transaction you request, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in operating and improving a safe and stable game.
7. Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by Google (Firebase, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, AdMob, and UMP), Apple (App Store and StoreKit), and Unity Technologies (the game engine and integrated software components). These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not operate a data-broker business and do not directly sell personal information. Advertising providers may process or share information as described in their disclosures and your consent choices.

8. Retention
- Local game data remains until you uninstall the Game, clear its data, or use an applicable in-game reset.
- Firebase Analytics user-level event data is configured for two months. Aggregated reporting may remain longer where it no longer identifies an installation.
- Firebase Crashlytics generally retains crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before deletion begins.
- Google, Apple, and Unity retain information according to their applicable policies, legal obligations, fraud-prevention needs, and service settings.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
- Use the in-game Privacy Choices entry when it is available to change advertising consent.
- Uninstall the Game to remove its local data from that device.
- Manage App Store purchases and refunds through Apple.
- Email us to make a privacy request.
Because the Game has no account system and we do not assign a name or email address to an installation, we may be unable to identify a particular anonymous record using an email address alone. We will explain what is possible after reviewing a request.
10. Children
Another Planet is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children or submitted under Apple’s Kids Category. We do not knowingly ask children to provide direct personal information. Parents or guardians should supervise use where required by local law. If you believe information from a child has been handled contrary to applicable law, contact us so we can investigate.
11. International processing and security
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We use established platform providers and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy when the Game, its providers, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated in the Game or through an appropriate store notice when required.
